Dear Friends,

Cystic Fibrosis is a chronic disease that engenders courage and creates heroes.  Why would I say something like that?  Because people who know CF fight and they fight hard every day.  It is this fight that is allowing CF sufferers who otherwise might not have lived to see elementary school, to live into their 30's, 40's and beyond.  The fight isn't over yet, there is much to do, treatments to be discovered, clinical trials to be run and a cure WILL BE FOUND.

"There is no sun without shadow, and it is essential to know the night, the struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart."  Albert Camus wrote these words when describing Sisyphus, who was condemned by the gods to roll a stone up a hill, only to have it roll of its own volition and weight back down the hill, whereupon he was required to roll it back up the hill, again and again.  This is the life of a CF patient and those that know them.

We all have stones to roll; our obstacles to overcome as a team, as a community, together, each of the stones can be forced to stay on the hill because together, we can do it!  Is it cancer, diabetes, heart disease or Cystic Fibrosis?  Doesn't matter does it?  I have seen this community of people work together and I know that there is no stone condemned to our valley.

We believe that a cure is at hand and we may be the very group that raises the last dollar!
